Nell is used to living with her father without anyone intruding on her space but when her so called Uncle Darius, her mother's stepbrother, comes to live with them, she's not exactly happy about it.
Darius Hawke, might have accepted the photography teacher position at nell's school, but he's come here with a purpose to forget his demons of the past and write his book that'll help other people hopefully.
Slowly darius starts falling in love with teaching his students the art of photography and making the students fall in love with it.
But his self-hatred returns and he's disgusted with himself to find himself attracted to a girl who once called him uncle.

Oh my... Slowburn and Student-Teacher and sorta Forbidden and Age-gap.. Yep right from the description this one starts out to be a complete package.
Nina Lane is one of my all time favorite author for a reason and I was super hyped up to see how this one would be like.
AND. RIGHT NOW. I'M GASPING. SPEECHLESS. WIDE-EYED. STILL SPECULATING ABOUT HOW THIS WAS AN INTENSE, BEAUTIFUL STORY OF TWO PEOPLE WAY DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER, WITH A HUGE AGE-GAP YET SHARE THE SAME SCARS AND PAINS EVEN THOUGH THEIR EXPERIENCES MIGHT HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT AND HOW THEY BRING RELIEF FROM THEIR DEMONS AND HEALING TO EACH OTHER.
I can't put into words at how deep this one was, the level of closeness and intimacy between two people brought together by their common shared love of the art of photography.. AHHH.. FREAKING GORGEOUS 💗💗💗💗💗
I really enjoyed and found very interesting the nuances of photography and the way it is described and how it's one of the most beautiful medium of expressionism. I feel all the experiences of darius made me understand him a bit more.
He's a bit complex for sure but I'm utterly fascinated by how he holds himself and let's himself go at the same time where his attraction and feelings for Nell are concerned.
Honestly, I'm oh so immersed and excited yet nervous but can't wait to find out what happens next to Nell and Darius after that ending.. Loved freaking loved this one.
